It depends on the size. An institutional site usually takes two weeks. A catalog with hundreds of thousands of URLs needs more crawling time and cross-referencing with log and search data. The exact timeline goes in the scope, before we start.
SEO consulting: what to do first, with proof of why
The catalog grows faster than it gets indexed, content goes out without knowing which search it serves, or traffic dropped and measurement cannot say where. I look at the site on four fronts: technical structure, content, search strategy and tracking. I deliver a prioritized list, with a screenshot of the screen where each problem happens and the official documentation that supports the fix. When there is no development team, I implement it myself.
When it makes sense to call me
Four situations that show up almost every time
Indexing
The site has more pages than Google indexes
You publish and the indexed base does not keep up. On large catalogs, this is usually crawling spent on URLs that should not even exist.
Traffic drop
Traffic dropped and nobody can explain it
The drop does not match an algorithm update or seasonality. Blaming the algorithm is the quickest answer, but in most cases that reach me there is no record of what changed on the site and when it changed.
Cannibalization
Your pages compete with each other
Your site’s worst competitor may be the site itself. Two or three URLs fight over the same intent and Google alternates between them. The effect is unstable rankings and diluted conversion.
Stalled backlog
The team delivers and results do not come
There is an SEO backlog, there is implementation, and the needle does not move. In most cases the order of the fixes explains more than their volume.
What lands in your hands
Four pieces, and all of them fit in a sprint
01
Finding with evidence
The problem comes with a screenshot of the screen where it appears, the expected impact and the link to the official documentation that justifies the fix. Your leadership does not need to trust my intuition, only the documentation.
02
Ticket written for whoever executes it
Priority, acceptance criteria and technical reference, in the format that goes straight into the development team’s sprint, whether in Jira, Trello or GitHub. No more broken telephone between marketing and engineering.
03
Order of attack
What to solve first, what can wait and what is not worth the effort right now, with the reason for each position in the queue.
04
Follow-up until it ships
I follow the implementation queue and validate what went to production. When no team is available, I implement it myself.
GEO
GEO consulting: your brand in AI answers
GEO, short for Generative Engine Optimization, is the work of getting the brand found, understood and cited when the one answering is an AI system, such as Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT or Perplexity. I treat GEO as an extension of technical SEO, because the assistant only cites what it can crawl, interpret and associate with your brand.
Which AI bots reach the site
Reading logs and robots.txt to learn which AI bots visit the pages, what they can access and what got blocked without anyone deciding it.
Content the answer can use
Page structure, structured data and passages that stand on their own, so the information can be extracted without losing context or source.
The brand described the same way everywhere
Consistency of name, offer and topic across the site, the profiles and third-party mentions, which is part of the material a model draws on to associate the brand with the subject.
Measuring what AI answers about you
Prompt tracking with a fixed set of questions, a record of when the brand appears and with which source, and analysis of the traffic that comes from assistants.
Nobody can guarantee that an assistant will cite your brand, and I do not sell that guarantee. The work acts on the conditions for the brand to enter the answer and records when it does.
How it works
From the first conversation to the fix going live
01
Initial conversation
Thirty minutes, at no cost. You describe the problem, I take a quick look at the site and tell you whether it is structure, content or measurement.
02
Scope
I send in writing what I will look at, the timeline and the delivery format, with the list of what stays out of scope.
03
Diagnosis
Crawling, indexing, architecture, content and measurement, with a screenshot and source for every finding.
04
Implementation
Prioritized backlog, tickets written in the team’s language and follow-up until the fix reaches production.
Before signing
Where I help and where I am not the best choice
A good fit when
- Guesswork has already proven expensive and the operation needs to defend every decision with a source in front of leadership.
- There is a development team and no clarity about what to prioritize.
- Content goes out frequently and nobody can say which piece serves which search.
- SEO, content and AI answers need to fit into a single search strategy, with an order of priority.
- GA4 and GTM were set up piece by piece and the numbers of one do not match the other.
- A platform migration is on the horizon.
Not a fit when
- You are looking for a guaranteed first position on a fixed deadline.
- The goal is volume of published text without criteria.
- The request is a metrics dashboard without a business question it needs to answer.
- There is nobody to implement and no budget for implementation either.
Frequently asked questions
What people usually ask me before signing
How does pricing work?
The price depends on the size of the site and the depth of the diagnosis. I send the proposal after the initial conversation, with timeline, scope and deliverables in writing.
Who implements the fixes?
Usually the client’s development team. I write the ticket in the language of whoever will execute it, with priority, acceptance criteria and technical reference, and I follow the queue until it ships. When there is no team, I implement it myself.
Do you work remotely?
Yes. Consulting has always worked remotely. For in-person training, it is a matter of schedule and travel.
Which platforms do you work with?
WordPress and proprietary platforms, including catalogs integrated via API. If the stack is very unusual, I will tell you in the initial conversation whether I can help.
Do you guarantee the first page on Google?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Nobody controls the position Google assigns, so whoever promises the first page on a fixed deadline is selling a magic formula. What I guarantee in writing is the scope: what I will look at, the timeline and the delivery format.
Tell me where your site is leaking budget
Thirty minutes, at no cost. I listen to the problem, take a quick look at the site and tell you whether it is structure, content or measurement. If it makes sense to move forward, the proposal arrives in writing, with timeline, scope and deliverables. If I am not the right person for your case, I will say so right away.
